Today Monday Poush 27 or Prithvi Jayanti. Likewise previous year this year too citizens are celebrating this day even though the government are not celebrating.overnment Preserved intelligence concern has organised the program as well as various citizens are gathering together and celebrating Nation Unite day in the memory of Prithvi Narayan Shah.
Prithivi Narayan Shah has united the small small kingdom or 24 kingdom into one and he is taken as the symbol of National Unite. After the public agitation of 2062/2063 the government has declared that posh 27 won’t be celebrated and the public holiday will also not be granted since than. After that only the citizens celebrated this day.
He was born at B.S 1779 Poush 27 and died at 1831 Magh 1 and he completed uniting Nepal at his age of 52. Which is in modern days is known as Nation re production.
He started to unite Nepal as one and reached the boundry of Nepal to Tistha river at eastern of Nepal Satajal river at Western, magadh at Northern. But later the war with the British this land was captured by them.
He was the son of the king of Gorkha Narbhupal Shah and Kausalyawati and he got birth at B.S.1779 Poush 27. His first marry was done with the daughter of the king of Makwanpur Hemkarna Sen, her name was Indrakumari on B.S 1794 and his second marriage was done with Narendralaxmi who was the daughter of Avimanshing the Rajput of Kashi.
He not only united the Nation but his words, the lesson he gave is still known as the treasure.
